My favorite movie, a fcking master piece, this movie make us feel what write a script its an easy job.

When this movie came out I was seven years old. My older brother rented it and I watched it with him. Being seven years old, when this scene started I didn't fully understand the nature of the encounter. Then when he drank ALL of dudes drink staring him dead in the face with a look like, bitch I fuckin dare you to object I understood what time it was. Not only that but I understood the drastic shift in power dynamics at play. Before Jules and Vince arrived Bret was in charge but that's over. Jules didn't even have to press Bret's bitch ass flunkies because he just marked out their leader. I think it was the first time I understood that much of a scene of movie based on subtext alone. It sort of prompted to watch the rest of the film closely for these shifts in power dynamics.
